After much deliberation and careful consideration, Antarctic Media will be releasing “Londontown” as an EP (Extended Play) rather than a full length album. “This is the final word on the matter,” so says resident composer David Floyd.
The EP will contain six original tracks, some with vocals while others will be instrumentals.
“Londontown” is the follow up to the 2012 album “Antarctica!” which was released by Antarctic Media late last year.
“After going through all the recordings, we decided to work on the selected six tracks,” David continues, “There’s a lot of instrumental stuff but I really feel that ‘less is more’ right now.”
David says he is still busy with the mixing process but remains adamant that the EP will be released in the very near future.
“It’s very different to what the previous album [Antarctica!] sounds like,” David says. “There’s more distorted sounds; it’s just a little more ‘angry’ I guess. I’m not really sure why that is but I guess that’s just how it turned out this time!”
In the meantime, David continues to release tracks which are not related to the “Londontown” project.
Antarctic Media will be sure to keep its listeners up to date with regard to the time of release of the EP.
